How the 3,000+ template count works
The library on this page holds over three thousand distinct caption templates — 100 for every niche across all 30 niches (the original favourites plus the trending and AI categories), plus universal templates that work in any niche. Each niche's 100 is made of 10 fully individual templates plus 90 built by pairing 15 written openings with 6 written endings, so those 90 are distinct, complete captions that share an opening frame rather than 90 unrelated ideas. The generator rotates openings inside each set, so the same frame does not repeat in one batch. Bridge lines and tone endings add variety on top; the headline count does not depend on them. How to write a caption that actually gets read
The generator gives you the words. These three habits decide whether people stop, read and reply — which is what Instagram's algorithm rewards.
Lead with a hook, not a greeting
The first line is all most people see before “…more”. Start with a question, a bold claim or the most interesting part of the story — never with “Hey guys!”.
One caption, one idea
Posts that try to say three things say nothing. Pick the single feeling or tip the photo carries, write about that, and end with one clear question or call-to-action.
Write like you talk
Read your caption out loud. If it sounds like an advertisement, shorten the sentences, drop the buzzwords and add the detail only someone who was really there would know.
Caption vs. bio: what each one has to do
They look similar, but they do opposite jobs — and both have hard limits worth knowing before you post.
| Caption | Bio | |
|---|---|---|
| Job | Make one post worth engaging with | Convert a profile visit into a follow |
| Character limit | 2,200 characters | 150 characters |
| What matters most | The first line (the hook) | Line 1: who you help and how |
| Hashtags | Up to 30, relevant to the post | Only clickable @mentions and #hashtags of your own branded tag |
| Call-to-action | A question people can answer in seconds | One action: DM, link, or booking |
Frequently asked questions
How many hashtags should I actually use?
Instagram allows 30 per post. Current guidance from Instagram itself is that hashtags work as a topic signal, not a reach hack — so relevance beats volume. A set of 15–25 hashtags that genuinely describe your post, mixed between popular and niche, is the sweet spot this generator targets.
Should hashtags go in the caption or the first comment?
Both work for reach. In the caption keeps everything together and is easier to edit later; in the first comment keeps the caption cleaner. If you use the first comment, post it immediately — delayed comments lose the early engagement window.
What makes a bio convert visitors into followers?
Three lines doing three jobs: line one says who you help and with what, line two gives a reason to trust you (a result, a number, or how often you post), and line three is a single call-to-action. Vague bios like “living my best life” convert almost no one.
Can I use these captions for a business account?
Yes. Choose the Business & Creator niche and the Professional or Bold tone, add your product or service as the topic, and keep the call-to-action on. Edit in one specific detail — a price, a place, a customer result — before posting, so it reads as yours, not a template.
Are the captions unique every time?
This page holds 3,036 distinct caption templates: 100 per niche across 30 niches, plus 36 universal templates that work in every niche. In each niche, 10 templates are fully individual and the other 90 pair 15 written openings with 6 written endings — distinct, complete captions that share an opening frame, not 90 unrelated ideas. The generator rotates openings within a set so the same frame does not appear twice in one batch, and medium and long captions add a bridge line, a tone ending and, for long captions, a closing line — so the same settings rarely produce the same set twice.
